SCHAUMBURG BOAT & SPORT SHOW IS WINTER HOT SPOT FOR OUTDOOR ENTHUSIASTS
Show features latest fishing and sport boats, fishing tackle and adventure outfitters
The destination of choice for suburban Chicago outdoor enthusiasts is the second annual Schaumburg Boat & Sport show, which will be held February 14 – 17 at the Schaumburg Convention Center. Launched in 2007, the Schaumburg Boat & Sport show hosts thousands of anglers, as well as boating and outdoor enthusiasts from the Chicago land area, to climb aboard the latest fishing, sport and pontoon boats and browse booths filled with marine equipment, boating accessories, fishing outfitters and tackle.
“This show is establishing itself as a must-see event for local boaters, anglers and outdoor enthusiasts,” says Keith Ogulnick, show manager. “It provides visitors with access to a variety of boats, fishing accessories, travel opportunities and fun for the entire family. The Schaumburg Convention Center is a beautiful facility with a convenient location and free parking which makes it easy for attendees to come out and have a great time.”
Show attendees are encouraged to bring their children along to enjoy the Shimano Trout Pond, an indoor pond stocked with the largest trout around. Fishing is free for children 12 and under, making it a fun and educational activity for the entire family. Young anglers can also visit entertaining and educational seminars hosted by Curt “The Bassmeister” Strutz. Also featured is the Discover Boating Center, which serves as the one-stop resource for prospective buyers with valuable boating information from on-site experts.
