WE will be having our 6th Fishing Tournament at Port of Blarney
Sunday May 22nd, 2011.
Sign in starts at 6:00 a.m. and the Tournament kicks off at 7:00 a.m ,
Weigh in is at 2:00 p.m sharp ! Entry fee is $40.00
There will be 5 categories
1) Bass ___________________by length * weight used for tie breaker
2) Walleye_________________by length * weight used for tie breaker
3) Catfish__________________by length * weight used for tie breaker
4) Pan fish _________________by weight of your top 10 Pan fish*
5) Stripers _________________by weight of your top 10 Stripers
*Panfish we consider
Bluegil
Sunfish
warmouth
Rockbass
crappies
perch
The tournament is for the entire chain of lakes ,not just fox lake. The $ 40 entry fee is for Individual, and covers all four categories. You can have as many anglers you want on a boat. And you are allowed to use live bait. You must have an Illinois fishing license and A fox waterway sticker (they do sell a one day stickers for $10 ) and all fish will be released after weigh in. * Individual can take their own catch.The Tournament is a 80% pay back .with thousands of dollars of raffles from our sponsors
any one older than 16 can enter the tournament as long as they have a valid fishing license.
now as for boating, the state law states that if your under 18 you must complete a boating safety course and possess a Boating Safety Education Certificate accepted by the Department of Natural Resources or you are accompanied by and under the direct control of a parent, a guardian, or a person at least 18 years old designated by the parent or guardian. children 16 and under can fish the tournament for free but are not eligible for the category prizes unless they pay entry fee , they are eligible for the raffle prizes .

Please pre register online so we can get an idea how many anglers we will have.This will help us place non boaters, and help with what we need for parking etc…You don’t need to pay your entry fee online entry fee will be collected at sign in, the day of the tournament. port of blarney does have a free launch for the tournament and plenty of trailer parking .

We had some great weather Again with temps in the upper 70′s. This is the first year that we had NO Walleyes brought in . A lot of Pan Fish brought in this year with the winning weight almost being 10lbs .Winner of the walleye prize being raffled off was Harold Henkel.

FHNB has grown into a National Organization with 23 chapters in 11 states, enabling thousands of individuals with disabilities to participate fully in this spirit lifting, morale booster, trouble free recreational activity. opening up new dreams for persons with disabilities that might not otherwise experience what you or I might just take for granted.
Chapter Event Date: September 12 & 13, 2009 This FHNB chapter started in 1992. The dedicated volunteers of this chapter hold their annual event at C. Haling and Sons on Grass Lake of the Fox Chain of Lakes. A flotilla of boats, food, and fun await the participants of this long-standing event as well as a group of dedicated volunteers, fishing guides and friends.

Posted by: | Commentsthe 2nd annual Fox Lake Fishing Tournament was a huge success, a great outcome with out standing weather.every one that registered received a goodie bag full of gifts. hats,crank baits lures ,etc… plus with over $4000 in raffle prizes from our great sponsors .and I cant forget the great live music we had from the band MYSTIFY . we did get a repeat winner this year on the walleye category Lincon Buchanan won first prize for walleye for the 2nd year in a role
