There are 3 categories of the Ice Shanty Contest:
The winner of each category will receive $100. Winners will be announced at Headquarters on Sunday, February 14th prior to the Auction (approximately 2:30 pm).
1. Registration will open at 7:00 am on Saturday morning February 13th at the Announcer’s trailer at Headquarters on Channel Lake.
2. All entries must be registered by 11:00 am on Saturday.
3. All entries must be homemade.
4. Your entry number must be displayed on the outside of your shanty.
5. Judging will begin at noon on Saturday, February 13th and will continue through the afternoon.
WE will be having our 2nd annual Fishing tournament at BaJa Bennys on Fox Lake
sunday May 17th
Sign in starts at 5:00 a.m. and the tournament kicks off at 6:00 a.m ,
weigh in is at 1:00 p.m sharp ! entry fee is $40.00
there will be 4 categories
1) Bass ___________________by length * weight used for tie breaker
2) Walleye_________________by length * weight used for tie breaker
3) Catfish__________________by length * weight used for tie breaker
4) Pan fish _________________by weight of your top 10 Pan fish*

The tournament is for the entire chain of lakes ,not just fox lake. The $ 40 entry fee is for Individual, and covers all four categories. You can have as many anglers you want on a boat. And you are allowed to use live bait. You must have an Illinois fishing license and A fox waterway sticker (they do sell a one day stickers for $10 ) and all fish will be released after weigh in. * Individual can take their own catch.The Tournament is a 80% pay back .with thousands of dollars of raffles from our sponsors
any one older than 16 can enter the tournament as long as they have a valid fishing license.
now as for boating, the state law states that if your under 18 you must complete a boating safety course and possess a Boating Safety Education Certificate accepted by the Department of Natural Resources or you are accompanied by and under the direct control of a parent, a guardian, or a person at least 18 years old designated by the parent or guardian. children 16 and under can fish the tournament for free but are not eligible for the category prizes unless they pay entry fee , how ever they are eligible for the raffle prizes .

Please pre register online so we can get an idea how many anglers we will have.This will help us place non boaters, and help with what we need for parking etc…You don’t need to pay your entry fee online entry fee will be collected at sign in, the day of the tournament. Baja Benny’s does have a free launch for the tournament Might have limited trailer parking depending on outcome .
The band mystify will be performing after weigh in and BaJa’s will have their grills fired up

April 12th and 13th 2008
Two man team tournament
Participants must comply with Big Bucks Bass Tournament rules. You do not need to be a member to participate in tournament.
Cost $230.00 per team.
Includes: Both days launch pass ($10 per day $20 total) Entry in daily big bass pots ($10.00 per day $20 total) and 2 dinner tickets.
Mandatory dinner (2 free tickets per team, additional tickets $10 each) on April 11th 2008 at 6 pm. Dinner will be held at National Athletic Club, 264 Lippincott Lane, Fox Lake, IL (847-587-5777), One member of team must attend meeting.
After first day fish weight is calculated the top 8 teams in weight, ties to be decide by big fish, will automatically qualify for a guaranteed check on Sunday. First days weight determines launch number start on Sunday. This weight will also be carried over to Sunday. Sunday’s launch schedule top 8 teams launch at 7:00 a.m. return at 3:00 p.m.
Remainder of field will draw boat numbers Sunday morning. No weight is carried over from Saturday for these teams. Top five teams in weight on Sunday will receive check. Sunday launch time 7:30 am – and return at 2:30 pm
We encourage participants to stay near their boats after each tournament day to mingle with spectators. Please help to promote our sport.
Pay out: 100% of Big Bass Pot, 80% of entry fee minus launch fee, big bass pot, plus $10 towards dinner. Limited to 50 boat field
We are working on Skeeter, Ranger, Champion, and Bass Cat money.

If you fished in the Fall Classic at Bauske Marine in October 2007, you are guaranteed a spot in the Spring Fling. All that is required is to have a paid entry at Action Marine by March 21, 2008. We are limiting the field to 50 entries.
Ranger Cup: If you are an up-to-date Ranger Cup member and bought your boat from either Anglers Edge (Loves Park) or Bedford Sales (Morris, IL) you are eligible to receive Ranger Cup money. If a Ranger boat owner wins, they receive $1,000. If no Ranger boat owner wins, highest placing Ranger owner receives $500
